Inbound vs Outbound Marketing for CRE


The whole concept of content marketing is based on earning the consumer or prospects attention by providing valuable information which is done most effectively with inbound marketing. In my last post, I touched on the value of having an online marketing strategy centered around a blog and various social networking platforms. In a sense inbound marketing has become the new “cold call”. My clients tell me that are constantly being barraged with cold calls from commercial real estate brokers (outbound marketing).

Inbound marketing is a way to differentiate yourself from the competition, particularly at a time when the CRE industry has been slow to adopt this type of marketing communication. I am not suggesting that you quit cold calling if you are having success with that approach, but you may want to consider inbound marketing to augment your business development efforts. During the last 12 months over 50,000 people have visited my blog and viewed of 95,000 pages of content. I know that I could not possibly call that many people in one year unless that is all I did every moment of the workday.
